Blemishes treated with Shortwave Diathermy

What does diathermy involve?

The Sterex system uses a hair-fine needle to target the area of concern. During the treatment, it is usual to feel a sharp, hot sensation, especially if the blemish is adjacent to the nose, eyes and lips.

How long does it take?

Treatments can take from 5 to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the blemish being treated. Pedunculated lesions such as skin tags can take the longest to treat. Small visible surface blood vessels, such as telangiectasia, require no more than a minimal application.
