Microneedling

Microneedling is a method of skin rejuvenation that uses ultra-fine needles to make tiny holes in the skin, stimulating your skin’s natural healing process and boosting collagen and elastin production. This will give your complexion a more youthful appearance, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and reduce scarring and pigmentation. Microneedling can be combined with other aesthetic treatments such as chemical skin peels, mesotherapy cocktails (active skin ingredients) and platelet-rich plasma [PRP].

What does microneedling involve?

To perform micro-needling, we use a mechanical pen, which is safer and more effective with less trauma to the skin than a manual roller.

After the treatment, soothing active ingredients can be used to hydrate, nourish and protect the skin. A course of three treatments, four weeks apart, is recommended to gain the full benefits following medical needling.

Conditions treated with microneedling

  • Sallow and dull skin

  • Uneven skin tone

  • Stretch marks

  • Ageing skin

  • Fine lines and Wrinkles

  • Open pores

  • Uneven and rough skin

  • Acne and chicken pox scars

  • Areas of skin redness

  • Pigmentation

How many treatments will I need?

It is recommended that you have at least three sessions. Improvements can take up to 12 months.

What are the side effects of microneedling?

Microneedling is a very safe procedure when carried out by a professionally trained practitioner. Most people will experience mild reddening of the skin and possibly some pinpoint bleeding and minor bruising. This is entirely normal. The redness usually improves within 12-48 hours.
