DERMAPLANING
What is dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliation procedure to gently ‘shave’ the skin's surface, removing the top layer of dead skin along with fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). It is an excellent treatment to banish the face of excess fine hairs which can hold onto dirt and oil. Also, dermaplaning can dimish fine lines and gives the skin a smoother feel.
This is an effective treatment for those with dry, rough textured or uneven toned skin. Dermaplaning also helps to minimise very superficial acne scarring.
It is recommended to have dermaplaning every 3-4 weeks and is an excellent addition to other aesthetic treatments.
The procedure
During dermaplaning, the skin surface is gently shaved with a sterile surgical scalpel. This is not painful and the treatment is carried out in around 30 minutes. In addition, a range of active ingredients can be applied to the skin for maximum benefit.
Downtime
This treatment has minimal downtime.
